Jojo Rabbit (12A)

Jojo Rabbit

Director: Taika Waititi

Cast includes Roman Griffin Davis, Thomasin McKenzie, Taika Waititi, Sam Rockwell, Scarlett Johansson, Rebel Wilson

Duration: 118 minutes

Writer-director Taika Waititi (THOR: RAGNAROK, HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE) channels his signature style of humour and pathos into a provocative anti-hate satire that was one of the most talked-about films on the autumn festival circuit. In the dying days of the Second World War, a lonely German boy (Roman Griffin Davis) discovers his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a young Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic. Aided only by his idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi), Jojo must confront his blind nationalism.

'It's Waititi's ability to balance unassailably goofy moments with an acknowledgment of real-life horrors that makes the movie exceptional.' - TIME magazine

'Director Taika Waititi's self-described "anti-hate satire" blossoms into a big-hearted black comedy with the thorniest possible subject at its center.' - New York Post
