Dementia Friendly Cinemas have proven to be very therapeutic for people with memory problems and their families. Besides engaging the brain and stimulating emotions, being part of an audience enjoying a film helps people with dementia and their carers to feel less isolated and also challenges the stigma associated with the condition.
Whilst promoted as a dementia friendly screening, we hope anyone who loves the old films will come along for an afternoon of fond memories.
TRIP community transport can provide a lift to and from the film within Honiton. Please book a place with them on 01404 46529

We are delighted to welcome this ‘awesome foursome’ to the Beehive after their stunning performance at this year’s Costa Del Folk, we know that they are going to blow you away with their shiny happy music!
Made up of two Irishmen, an Englishman and an American, the band came together in 2011 to create their unique brand of acoustic music - a veritable 4 x 4 of voices and instruments identified by the fusion of styles which include Folk, Latino, Americana and Bluegrass. The band has a striking line-up of 4-part harmonies, acoustic guitar, ukulele and bass alongside cajón and trumpet with a bit of banjo and mandolin thrown in for good measure!
The Madrid-based band, whose name derives from the maintenance crews working the New York subway system, released their fourth studio album earlier this year, “Kansas City Groove”. It was inspired in part by their recent career-changing experiences at the Folk Alliance in Kansas City in early 2017, and the album is a mix of all that makes theTrack Dogs sound so special: healthy doses of Americana, Latin and Folk.
"Since 2007 the Track Dogs have been creating acoustic music with a strong Latino accent that also successfully draws in folk, bluegrass, Americana and pop. Kansas City Out Groove follows their triumphant 2016 album, Serenity Sessions, an album so packed with sunshine it could be sold as a vitamin C supplement.” - Neil McFadyen, Folkradio.co.uk
“…based in Madrid and with instruments that include cajon, banjo, ukulele, mandolin and trumpet and, rather obviously Spanish guitar, the quartet serve up a south of the border fiesta exuberance that defies you not to stomp the heels and play air castanets….the groove is most definitely on.” - Fatea Magazine, UK
“There’s a rare combination of four great players who also have superb voices, creating stunning individual vocal performances and the almost inevitable perfect harmonies…The playing is outstanding, the harmonies are superb and it’s joyful throughout; just give it a listen.” - Music Riot, June 2018, UK
