The Unravelling Wilburys

Now hear this y’all:

Legend has it the original Wilbury brothers from Nashville, Tennessee, were plying their trade as a good ol’ Country band one night in Tootsie’s Bar, when who should walk in but George Harrison from The Beatles and his old pal JeD Lynne outta the ELO. After a few beers, George and JeD decided they loved the Wilbury boys and called up some of their friends, inviting them downtown to hear for themselves. Those friends turned out to be Roy Orbison, that Tom Petty out of the Heartbreakers, and Bobby Dylan himself.

The story goes that, after the show, the famous five wanted to hang out with the shy and retiring Unravelling Wilburys. They all got pretty drunk, and it seemed like the Wilbury brothers had got their big break when Tom Petty allegedly said they should all work together.

Six months went by and the Wilburys heard nothing. Then one day they was passing a record store and heard one of their own songs playing on the hi- fi. “Who’s this playing our song?” they said to the guy behind the counter. “Why, it’s a new supergroup,” the guy replied. “They call themselves The Traveling Wilburys.

” Yes folks, it seems the Traveling Wilburys became a tribute band to our home-spun originals.

Well, a few years and more passed and finally the Unravelling Wilburys decided to ‘reclaim’ those songs, putting together a set of all the hits and the best stuD Dylan, Petty, Orbison, Lynne and Harrison could muster between ’em. Then they headed for the UK. The folks there ain’t got much of a clue about Country music and took to ’em straight away.

Pretty soon they was travelling all over the country, from the Orkney Islands to the Isle of Wight; from Penzance to Perth; from Southwold to South Wales; packing out theatres along the way in towns whose names they’d never heard of and couldn’t pronounce.

The show features the best of the Wilbury albums (“Handle with Care”; “The End of the Line”; “The Devil’s Been Busy”; “Tweeter & The Monkey Man” etc.) and some of their supposedly thievin’ counterparts’ numbers like “Only the Lonely”; Won’t Back Down”; “While my Guitar Gently Weeps”; “Like a Rollin’ Stone” and “Mr. Blue Sky”. The act even contains the kind of comedy only a band spending too many nights in Travelodge hotels could dream up.

The Unravelling Wilburys are now so popular they even got to be a question on that TV show “The Chase”. Now that’s fame…even if it ain’t fortune.

So- Ladies and Gentlemen, turn oD your hearing aid, put your Zimmer frame to one side and prepare for a musical journey with Walter, Blind Melon, Sticky Willy, Thumper and the Reverend Honky Tonk Wilbury. It’s a journey you ain’t gonna forget in a hurry.

Johnny Cash Revisited (2025)

Johnny Cash Revisited (2025)
Johnny Cash Revisited
Running Time: 2 Hours 30 minutes including interval.
Ticket Prices: General Admission £23
All ticket prices include a £2 booking fee.

Johnny Cash Revisited is a two-hour, live concert performance set between 1969 and 1971 and based on the hugely popular “Johnny Cash Show” Television series. During this period, Cash was at the height of his career in the USA and around the world, following the success of his legendary, At Folsom Prison and San Quentin albums.

The show features flashbacks to the very beginning of Cash’s career at Sun Records in Memphis and includes his greatest hits from the 1950’s on through the decades with hits such as, Folsom Prison Blues, I Walk The Line, Big River, Ring of Fire, A Boy Named Sue, One Piece At A Time, Daddy Sang Bass, A Thing Called Love, Ghost Riders In The Sky, Without Love, and duets, Jackson and It Ain’t Me Babe, with June Carter, a legend in her own right and member of the pioneering “Carter Family”.

The show boasts a fabulous live band called Starkville who, in their own right, could entertain you for the entire two hours. They perform popular songs by artists to whom Cash himself gave a prime-time

TV spot, and in some cases their biggest break, as guests on his TV show. Hit songs by Derek andThe Dominoes, and Credence Clearwater Revival, feature alongside Johnny’s long-time friends and Sun Records label mates, Roy Orbison and Carl Perkins.

Our show also provides a look at the resurgence of Johnny Cash’s career in the 1990’s featuring his Grammy award winning series of six American Recordings albums, including 2003’s incredibly powerful, Hurt. In short, Johnny Cash Revisited is a musical journey through five decades of hits by the legendary “Man In Black” himself, with his wife, June Carter, The Tennessee Three, and their friends, that we’re are sure will bring back wonderful feelings of nostalgia to those who lived through those years, while introducing a whole new generation to the wonderful country, rock ‘n’ roll, and rockabilly music of the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and into the new millennium!

Manhunter & Mindhunter: The Psychology of a Serial Killer (16)

Manhunter & Mindhunter: The Psychology of a Serial Killer

Manhunter & Mindhunter: The Psychology of a Serial Killer

Running Time:  2 Hours 30minutes (Including Interval)

Ticket Prices: General Admission £24 (18+)

All ticket prices include a £2 booking fee.

An unforgettable evening of true crime with two of Scotland Yard's most prolific detectives.

In an unexpected twist of fate, former Detective Chief Inspectors Steve Gaskin and Colin Sutton met two years ago, igniting a spark that neither could have predicted.

What began as a chance meeting has evolved into a ground breaking theatre production set to tour the UK in 2024 and 2025.

______________________________________________________________________________

Manhunter & Mindhunter is a gripping two-man show that delves into the dark world of serial killers, offering audiences a unique blend of true crime storytelling and psychological exploration. Both performers have been featured on a variety of UK TV Shows.

Manhunter & Mindhunter is not just another true crime show; it’s a deep dive into the mind of a serial killer, with a particular focus on Levi Bellfield, one of the UK’s most infamous criminals.

Colin Sutton, “Manhunter,” will lead the audience through the intense and meticulous investigation that led to Bellfield’s arrest, charge, and eventual conviction. Sutton’s account is not just a retelling of facts but an immersive experience that brings the audience into the heart of the investigation, revealing the unparalleled truth behind one of the most complex cases of his career.

On the other side of the stage, Steve Gaskin is “Mindhunter.” Gaskin’s part of the production delves into the psychological makeup of Bellfield, exploring the chilling characteristics that define a psychopath. Steve is a criminal psychologist. His analysis goes beyond the surface, offering a deeper understanding of what drives serial killers to commit such heinous acts. But Gaskin’s role doesn’t stop at Bellfield; he broadens the scope to examine the psychology of serial killers in general, shedding light on the patterns of behaviour that have baffled investigators and true crime addicts for decades.

______________________________________________________________________________

One of the most intriguing aspects of “Manhunter & Mindhunter” is the interactive element it brings to the theatre. Audience members won’t just be passive observers; they’ll have the chance to engage directly. During the show, guests will be invited to measure their own “psychopathy”, using tools and methods that Gaskin and Sutton will introduce. This unique feature not only adds an element of personal intrigue but also challenges the audience to reflect on the thin line between normality and the dark recesses of the human mind.

______________________________________________________________________________

What to expect from the evening:

Mindhunter: Inside The Mind of a Serial Killer (60 minutes)

· What 'makes' a psychopath and how they behave

· Find out how to measure psychopaths (and test yourself)

· Do all psychopaths go on to kill?

· How clever are criminal psychopath killers?

· Why did Bellfield commit these terrible crimes?

Break 30 minutes

Manhunter: Bringing Bellfield to Justice (60 minutes)

· How did a Scotland Yard Detective bring serial killer Levi Bellfield to justice?

· What motivated a man to carry out these terrible crimes?

· What happened during the investigation?

· What was it like to manage this sort of case?

· What type of person was Bellfield?

Who is the event for?

· The event is perfect for anyone with an interest or obsession with true crime, criminal psychology, and the investigation of Serial Killers; questions are encouraged!

· If you love true-crime TV shows and documentaries, you’ll love this event.

· The event is also ideal for anyone wanting to pursue a career in psychology, policing or the law.

Colin Sutton was one of Scotland Yard’s most successful senior investigating officers. Notably he brought the serial killer Levi Bellfield to justice. He also investigated the Delroy Grant case termed “The Night Stalker” Colin was serialised on ITV by the actor Martin Clunes in the gripping series “Manhunt”. Colin regularly appears on TV and is an established author.

Steve Gaskin specialised in murder investigation and drug trafficking. Steve has been captivating audiences with deep dives into criminal psychology and crime for the past 20 years. His fields of expertise are criminal psychopaths and offender profiling. Steve has also featured in a cold case serial killing investigation which was aired on ITV’s PlayBoy Bunny Club Murders (with Marcel Theroux) and narrated a full documentary on Wayne Couzens: Killer in Plain Sight (Channel 5).

George Gershwhin

Sensuous contemporary ballet meets the energy of musical theatre in four distinctive short works.

Fool’s Paradise, The Two of Us, Us, An American in Paris: four works showing the remarkable

choreographic range of The Royal Ballet's Artistic Associate, Christopher Wheeldon.

FOOL’S PARADISE

Luminescent and shimmering, Fool’s Paradise marked the first of Wheeldon’s many collaborations

with composer Joby Talbot. It was created in 2007 for Wheeldon’s own company, Morphoses, and

first performed in 2012 by The Royal Ballet.

THE TWO OF US

The wistful songs of Joni Mitchell set the scene for the UK premiere of The Two of Us, a duet of deep

intimacy and yearning. It was created in 2020 for the Fall for Dance Festival in New York, and had

American ballet dancers Sarah Mearns and David Hallberg in its original cast.

US (DUET)

Us is a tender duet danced by two men. It was created in 2017 for BalletBoyz and is set to Keaten

Henson’s music.

AN AMERICAN IN PARIS (BALLET)

The Royal Ballet celebrates Wheeldon’s extraordinary success in musical theatre by performing the

ballet scene from his Tony Award-winning musical An American in Paris. Set to Gershwin’s jazzy

melodies, the musical is inspired by the 1951 film of the same name starring Gene Kelly and Leslie

Caron. The musical went on to win four Tony awards. The full musical depicts a blossoming romance

between the American G.I. Jerry Mulligan and a French ballerina, Lise Dassin. The ballet excerpt was

Wheeldon’s take on one of the most memorable scenes from the film – an extended sequence in

which the two central characters dance through Paris.
