Written by and starring the six creators of the original series, and directed by series veteran Simon Hynd, the 97-minute film keeps everything that made the show a hit: bickering, centuries-spanning housemates, gentle political satire, and a surprising undercurrent of grief and found family.
What changes everything is a single, game-breaking discovery. The ghosts learn that, under the right conditions, they can step inside the bodies of the living. For a disgraced Tory MP who has spent over thirty years trapped on the estate without his trousers, that discovery is an open door.
For the frightened teenager whose body he borrows, it becomes a race against time.
