The MOJO WORKIN' Band were formed in 2019 in Bruton Somerset. Starting as a four piece they are now seven strong and playing regularly at venues and festivals in the South West of the UK.

This funky blues outfit plays a swaggering, soulful style of blues from Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf and Freddie King to Aretha Franklin. Robert Johnson, Nina Simone and James Brown.

Coming down from Somerset this 7-piece band plays a vibrant set of blues and soul designed to get your feet moving and soul stirring. With Montgomery Clift on drums, Dave Goodman  on bass, David Underwood on lead guitar, Al Cosnett on harmonica, Paul Cannon on saxophone and Barry Mylward on keys.

The band are keeping alive a great tradition while adding their own pinch of sonic seasoning to the mix.

Dementia Friendly Cinemas have proven to be very therapeutic for people with memory problems and their families. Besides engaging the brain and stimulating emotions, being part of an audience enjoying a film helps people with dementia and their carers to feel less isolated and also challenges the stigma associated with the condition.

All Nostalgic Cinema performances have subtitles to assist full enjoyment of the film by any members of the audience who are hard of hearing.

Whilst promoted as a dementia friendly screening, we hope anyone who loves the old films will come along for an afternoon of fond memories.

Tickets £5 - includes hot drink, biscuits and chat after the screening.
Ticket price includes £1 admin fee
Seats are not allocated for these showings.

Nostalgic Cinema screenings are kindly sponsored by Churchill Retirement Living - specialists in developing attractive, purpose-built retirement apartments.
