Running Time: 120 Minutes (Including an interval)

Christine’s career now spans an incredible 40 years.  Over that bridge of time she has released 24 albums, a DVD celebrating 20 years in the business and an acclaimed single with the BBC: the theme tune for “The Life and Loves of a She-Devil” in 1987.

Throughout, she has mesmerized and astounded with her unique blend of soul, blues, pop, jazz, country and folk, and today she remains as powerful, subtle, effortless and relevant as ever.

Collister grew up on the Isle of Man, and her professional recording career began after she moved to the UK in the mid 1980’s, when she came to national attention singing the theme for the BBC Television series The Life and Loves Of A She Devil.

A period of great critical and commercial success when working with Clive Gregson was followed by a fruitful and enduring association with Richard Thompson.

Christine is a magical live performer, with her gravity defying voice, assured and impressive live performances and great personal charm has become a familiar and popular name on the ‘live’ scene including major international festivals from Glastonbury to Cambridge, Winnipeg to Port Fairey.

“ … a voice personally delivered by God.” The Times

‘Christine Collister has a killer voice. As full as Dusty Springfield or as blue as Alison Moyet’ – Froots

Released in 2024 - Children Of The Sea, a very special project of 9 original songs inspired by Manx Folklore and a magical sense of place. Part funded by the Isle Of Man Arts Council, Culture Vannin and Fledgling Records, The CD is accompanied by a beautiful book complete with lyrics, inspirations and stories with original illustrations by Manx artists. It promises to be Collister’s finest release and marks a turning point in her authentic artistic expression.

Christine has always enjoyed the collaborative process and has been an integral part of many and varied musical projects over the years. Her most recent collaboration with brilliant Australian guitarist Michael Fix has been a successful and delightful surprise for them both.  They released their second CD “North&South” in October of 2019 with a sell out tour of the UK followed by an equally successful tour of the Australian Festival scene in 2020.

‘Christine Collister’s singing was powerful and emotional, shifting effortlessly from soft and angelic to knock you out Janice Joplin style. Michael Fix’s guitar was equally superb. He provided tasteful support in the most charming way and would then explode into amazing virtuoso runs across the finger board, all impeccably tasteful and clean.’– Troubadour (Woy Woy NSW) concert review, Michael Fine

Christine’s natural warmth and intimate connection with audiences coupled with her stunning voice, make her concerts delightfully memorable events.‘…one of the world’s finest..’ – Q

Christine also toured and recorded with the female super group Daphne’s Flight. In 2017, 21 years after their first collaboration, they released a highly acclaimed second album: "Knows Time, Knows Change" on Fled’gling Records.

'Solid gold standard dream-team music making. A key album of this year already, and no mistake' froots

UNDER THE RADAR is, as the name suggests, one of East Devon’s best kept musical secrets. The band comprises four musicians, all residing in the Ottery and Exmouth area, who can be found performing in the pubs and clubs of East Devon and beyond most weekends of the year. The ethos of the band is to perform songs that everybody knows, but not necessarily those that every other band has a tendency to play.

Without being tied to any one single musical genre, Under the Radar are always good value as a live act, as you never know what is coming at you next: a piece of 80s heritage rock, classic pop from any era, funk or soul from the 60s to the present day, or music that may only have been released very recently indeed.

The band has an international pedigree too, having headlined at festivals in Germany in front of audiences of thousands, rather than the more modest numbers in Devon pubs at the week-end.
The band’s association with FORCE goes back several years, and all four musicians are always more than willing to commit their services for free in aid of the community’s vital cancer charity fundraising efforts here in East Devon.

The band features Adele Markham on vocals, Darren Quinton on drums, Martin Wilkinson on vocals & guitars (he has many of them!) and Tim Walters - occasionally to be seen driving a TRIP community
More details can be found on the band’s website (www.undertheradarband.co.uk) or, alternatively, via its Facebook page (facebook/undertheradarband)

Running Time: 75 minutes (No interval)
Suitable for 12+ years

Ticket price: General Admission £14

From the files of Scotland Yard come these startling stage adaptations of infamous true-life nineteenth century crimes. During the course of this macabre performance, you'll encounter many nefarious individuals from late Victorian London, such as the infamous Whitechapel Murderer Henry Wainwright. He murdered his mistress in a particularly bloodthirsty manner, and hoped to escape justice. However, the dismembered corpse of Harriet Lane refused to stay hidden.

You will also meet the Lambeth Poisoner Dr Thomas Neill Cream, the sadistic serial killer and possibly the dreaded Jack the Ripper also. His murder spree on both sides of the Atlantic made his name a byword for horror.

Don’t Go Into The Cellar Theatre Company:

The company is now in its fifteenth year of touring. We are one of the UK's busiest and hardest-working small-scale theatre companies, and we are unique in that we specialise solely in original adaptations of classic Victorian and Edwardian popular fiction, and stageworks based on actual events from that era.

Ticket Prices: Advanced £15. General Admission £17

The Em Show: Tales From A Little Laughing Lesbian is Em Stroud’s third one woman show. Her first Coming out of her box in 2017 won the Planet Awards for best LGBTQ performance. Her second ME:EM had a sell out run in London just before the pandemic, so sadly the tour was cancelled.

Tales from a Little Laughing Lesbian is an uplifting show about how being brave and taking yourself out of your comfort zone will help you discover who you really are and from there you can do anything. This energetic one woman show brings Em’s signature blend of stand-up, improv and clowning to the stage, promising an evening of fun, joy and laughter.

Audiences will be treated to stories from her life; from confidence, wellness, therapy, parenting, lesbianism to marriage, meditation and motorbikes. As one audience member of the previews described it: “joyful – really enjoyed every moment of the show – cannot remember laughing so much in a long time” (And no you don’t have to be a Lesbian to come to see it!)

Dementia Friendly Cinemas have proven to be very therapeutic for people with memory problems and their families. Besides engaging the brain and stimulating emotions, being part of an audience enjoying a film helps people with dementia and their carers to feel less isolated and also challenges the stigma associated with the condition.

All Nostalgic Cinema performances have subtitles to assist full enjoyment of the film by any members of the audience who are hard of hearing.

Whilst promoted as a dementia friendly screening, we hope anyone who loves the old films will come along for an afternoon of fond memories.
