The very best in Disco & Boogie
Tickets: £10 + £1.50 booking fee

What happened to Disco? Well, it's STILL A THING!
'BOOGIE WONDERLAND' is back after our first celebration of all things Disco at the Beehive back in January. Expect a retro discotheque, with all the great sounds, big wooden dance floor, and dazzling lights you'll remember from those brilliant nights out you had back in the heyday of Disco and ’80s dance. On Friday 21st August we recreate the 'Best Disco In Town' with a deep dive into the most iconic tracks from back in the day - in case you were wondering, here's a little breakdown of exactly what you'll be hearing on the night...
DISCO - the lush string-washed tunes with the big production that filled dance floors between 1974 and 1980 - from the underground New York clubs to begin with, then the mega-discotheques around the world later in the '70s...
BOOGIE sums up many of the club dance sounds between 1980 and '86(ish) that evolved from Disco into club music with a more electronic feel, but still with a driving beat and great soul vocals.
This music is so good, it works it's magic for fun-loving people of any age. On Friday 21st August, we give you this uplifting, joyous music, and a magical place to dance - Honiton's Beehive. Come and join us for a night like no other!
About the venue: The Beehive's main auditorium has more than 2,000 square feet of dancing space on a well-maintained sprung wooden dance floor. There will be plenty of tables on which to rest your glasses, and plenty of seating should you need to rest yourself! The bar will be open from 6.30pm (30 minutes before the event begins) so you can get a drink and chat before we get you dancing. The Beehive's helpful stewards will be on-hand to assist with just about anything you might need help with.
There is limited parking available, with nearby on-street parking and a public car park a short walk away.
See you there!

Running Time: 2 Hours 30 Minutes (Including interval)
Tickets: General Admission £19. On the door £21. All tickets include a £2 booking fee.

Nothing Concrete is a six-piece international band based in the French Pyrenees, led by Scottish songwriter Fergus McKay.

Rooted in original songwriting, the band brings together a wide range of influences, blending blues, world music, jazz, cabaret, folk and swing into a sound that is both distinctive and hard to categorise. Their music is deeply danceable, often witty, and always alive with a sense of mischief and purpose. With sharp musicianship and a strong live presence, they create a genuinely immersive experience that's thoughtful and entertaining.

Their songs often carry a political edge, but never lose their sense of humour or playfulness. That balance of substance and style has helped define a band identity that feels eclectic yet coherent, adventurous yet accessible.

In 2025, they released their fourth album, The Imperfectionist, to widespread praise, with reviews calling it ?a masterpiece? and ?joyful, nostalgic, and just a little unpredictable.?
