In January–March 2027, Ben & Tom Waters bring their live show to theatres across the UK, joined by special guest percussionist James Larter.
This tour celebrates the relaunch of Ben Waters’ landmark Rolling Stones tribute album, originally recorded in 2010 in honour of Ian Stewart — one of the great architects of British rhythm & blues.
Ben Waters is internationally recognised as one of the world’s leading boogie-woogie and rock ’n’ roll pianists, renowned for his live performances and collaborations with some of the biggest names in music.
Tom Waters is a Royal Academy of Music graduate, bandleader and saxophonist whose playing draws on rhythm & blues, jazz, soul, funk and rock ’n’ roll influences. From the age of 13 to 16, Tom left school and toured internationally with his father, performing more than 900 shows across 52 countries. That extraordinary period of constant touring created a musical connection between them that is instinctive, intuitive and almost telepathic.
Joining them for this tour is award-winning percussionist, drummer and multi-instrumentalist James Larter, a long-time collaborator of Tom’s and one of the UK’s most versatile rhythmic musicians.
A graduate of both the Royal Academy of Music and the Manhattan School of Music, James has performed and recorded with artists including Sampha, Berlioz and Gang of Youths, and has worked with legendary producers Tony Visconti, Dave Okumu and Chris Kimsey. He has also appeared with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra and English National Opera.
Between them they have played and shared stages with The Rolling Stones, Jeff Beck, Ray Davies, Rod Stewart, Mick Hucknall, Dave Stewart, Johnny Depp and many more.
The show combines piano, saxophone and percussion in a performance rooted in rhythm & blues, rock ’n’ roll, funk, improvisation and humour — played with the chemistry and instinct that only comes from years of performing together.
